Moon Dust Explained
So, you bought (or are considering buying) an Aurora Tumbler and you saw that we claim it’s “made with REAL moon dust.” Well, how did we get real moon dust? We aren’t astronauts, of course, so here’s how we acquired a material that is more expensive than gold by weight and one of the rarest things on earth.
We purchased “Made with Moon” pigment from Bidwell Wood and Iron’s subsidiary company, Atomic Finishes. Here is an excerpt directly from their website: “Atomic Finishes is excited to announce 3 limited edition colors that contain actual lunar dust from authentic cutting dust from the Lunar Meteorite ‘North West Africa 10756 (NWA10756)’ which was found in 2015, and classified by The Meteoritical Society and published in the Meteoritical Bulletin, No. 105 in 2016.”
The conditions for obtaining a lunar meteorite have to be perfect. Read more on their website here: https://bidwellwoodandiron.com/collections/finishes-pigments/products/limited-edition-pigment-placeholder
So, now you know that it is, in fact, REAL dust from THE MOON! There is only a small amount of this pigment made, so once it’s gone, there is no more. Make sure you snag your tumbler today to own a piece of one of the rarest things on earth!
